To all our students and their families…

To all our students and their families…

We trust that all our students and their families are safe and are continuing to heed the advice of the Ministers of Health and National Security along with the Chief Medical Officer.

We have now come to the end of Term 3 and the academic year 2019-2020. Thank you for working with us to ensure that your daughters have kept up with all of the work and assignments that were done on the online platforms during the last few weeks. As soon as guidelines are available for the reopening of schools in September you will be informed as to how school will proceed, including information about booklists.

Form III students due to go into Form IV, you have been emailed your choice sheet. Please follow the instructions to submit by the deadline of Monday 13th July, 2020. You will be guided in due course as to the steps thereafter. Form V students writing CSEC and wishing to return to do ‘A Levels’, you will also be emailed an application form shortly.

To all our students writing the CXC Examinations (Form V, LVI & UVI) we wish you all the best in your exams. Unfortunately, due to the current situation we are unable to have our usual church service. However, on Monday 6th July, 2020, the students’ School Leaving Service will be held in the Sarah Morton Dormitory Chapel at 10:00 a.m. and we invite you to join us via the live stream. The link will be shared soon.

All students are reminded that Government textbooks are to be returned to school and a schedule will be posted at the appropriate time. Forms V’s and VI’s are reminded to return their books as soon as exams are over.

Girls, it has been a very interesting and eventful academic year…..starting off in what we considered to be a normal way – Walkathon, Bazaar, Sports, and Panorama. However, no one knew that we would have experienced what will become part of the History books in years to come – the COVID 19 pandemic. Despite this we still managed to experience school albeit in different ways as we had classes, submitted assignments, said farewell to Mrs. Deokie, Dean and Geography Teacher, saw the rededication of the Sarah Morton Dormitory via a live stream and bid farewell to Principal Mrs. Carolyn Bally-Gosine after she served Naparima Girls’ High School for the past 38 ½ years. There are many uncertainties as we move into the next academic year but one thing remains constant – we will approach this as we always do as TEAM Naparima, supporting and encouraging each other as we embrace the new normal for school.

God bless you and your families as we break for the July-August vacation and we trust that you and your families will continue to follow the protocols for COVID 19 and that you will all be safe.
