At Naparima Girls’ High School, students are encouraged to have a voice in school affairs. The Students’ Council is made up of the Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, House Captains, Heads of each Prefect System, Form VI class representatives (one per class), Class Presidents, the teacher in charge and one other teacher. Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at lunchtime and any other time as deemed necessary. Here, each student has the opportunity to air her views on all aspects of school life and to make recommendations for improvements through any member of the Students’ Council.
The Students’ Council consists of sub-committees such as retirement and bazaar committees.
