On Saturday 22nd November, 2025, the Naparima Girls’ High School Astronomy Club etched its name into school history, securing first place for the very first time at the TTAC’s 17th Annual Astronomy Quiz. Competing against 19 schools, our team delivered an exceptional performance built on determination, discipline, and passion.
Representing NGHS were Alyssa Sonoo (Captain), Mercedes David (Vice-Captain), Anvita Ramdial, Shreya Partapsingh, Karishma Sankersingh, Divya Ramdial, Vandana Baball, and Azraah Mohammed. After weeks of intense practice and countless sacrificed lunch times, the team triumphed and proudly brought home the prestigious victory telescope for the school.
Adding to this milestone, NGHS also earned the award for Best Support Group, with cheers that filled the auditorium and uplifted the team during every round. NGHS made a clean sweep at this event!
This extraordinary achievement would not have been possible without the guidance, dedication, and unwavering support of our patron teacher, Ms. Vishalli Tancoo, whose mentorship continues to strengthen and inspire the Astronomy Club.
