On Sunday 26th November, 2023, the Naparima Girls’ High School Indian Cultural Club participated in the 20th Sangeet Pratiyogita Song, Music and Dance Competition held by the Secondary Schools Sanskritik Sangam. This competition allows Secondary School students from across the country to come together and showcase their talents in singing, playing musical instruments and dancing. It aims to foster a sense of community and pride in their Indian Cultural Heritage while simultaneously promoting awareness of and appreciation for the Culture.
The students of the Indian Cultural Club worked arduously throughout the school term under the guidance of their efficient and committed club President, Samara Mathura, and their diligence did not go unrewarded. The results of the competition for the students were as follows:

Indian Folk Group Dance: 2nd
Indian Classical Dance: Sarika Mathura – 2nd
Shastriya Sangeet Percussion Senior: Renée Mohammed – 2nd
Shastriya Sangeet Vocal Junior: Vasudha Maharaj – 1st
Shastriya Sangeet Vocal Senior: Vasudha Maharaj – 2nd
