Our Red Cross Cadets placed in the top 3 in the recently concluded Trinidad and Tobago Youth Red Cross Society Trailblazers Club Logo Competition. Faith Smith, a Form 4 student won the 1st prize and was given the opportunity to unveil the logo at the Opening Ceremony of the youth club. Keshma Rampersad, a Form 3 student and Shivanna Sudama, a Lower 6 student placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The inspiration for Faith’s design is derived from her experiences of being a Red Cross cadet. The shield symbolizes the protection of the most vulnerable in our society, especially in times of natural disasters and emergencies. The torch signifies the passion our volunteers to be of service to others. While, the globe reminds us that help is needed around the world. The clasped hands recognizes the unity of our members.
The launch of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society Youth Trailblazers Club and Prize giving Ceremony was held on Monday 21st October, 2019 at Red Cross Headquarters in Port of Spain.
