The Inter-School Christian Fellowship (ISCF) of T&T, recently held their National Rally at Preysal
Secondary School on March 3 rd, 2018. This Year the Theme was ‘Roots’, and students had to study
Colossians 2 and Ephesians 3, which centred on being ‘rooted and grounded in God’s Love’.
The competition was keen in all areas: The Quiz, Choir Test Piece, Original Song, Dance, Instrumental,
Spoken Word, Visual Art, Poetry, Short story and Photography. Our Quiz Team, which comprised,
Faith Young Lau, Jesse Rampersad, Victoria Dookoo and Angelina Siew, were a force to be reckoned
with! They were coached by their Sponsor Stephanie Coker, and no doubt knew the Word. They
gained 1 st place in the Quiz, beating QRC, and cupping the 2018 Trophy. Each student also received a
gold medal.
The ISCF String Orchestra was trained by the amazing sisters -Stephanie and Samantha Ragoonath
and cupped 3 rd prize and gained bronze medals. Members of this Orchestra were: Stephanie and
Samantha Ragoonath, Serene Ramjohn, Bryana Armogam, Selene Ali, Reema Ramlochan, Arya
Maharaj, Chloe Ramcharan, Grace Benjamin- Edwards and Farah Ali.
Then, we were blown away by Destiny Quashie of 1R and Ashley Ramdass of 1N, who sang an
original song entitled ‘Unconditional Love’, composed by Destiny. Thanks, must go to the Music
Teachers, Mrs Paul who assisted them with the tune and Mr Sadaphal who supplied the
accompaniment. The awesome duet won the hearts of the crowd and gained Silver Medals in this
category for placing second.
The talented Macy Nanan of Form 4, did a spectacular art piece on the theme, and won the First prize in
the Visual Arts Category, coming away with the Gold medal. The ISCF NGHS Team really did us
proud! Congratulations to all!
