Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and is a national holiday which is celebrated annually on October 2nd.
In observance of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, The Mahatma Ghandi Institute for cultural cooperation in Mt. Hope, invited secondary school students to participate in an essay writing competition on the theme Gandhian Philosophy.
Numerous students participated in this event and we are thrilled that Vinaaya Dabiesingh of From 3 placed 1st overall and received a cash prize and a certificate of her achievement.
