The 7th Annual CARIFTA Youth Chess Championships 2018 took place in Suriname from March 30- April 2. Team TTO had a contingent of 15 players in the Official Under 12, Under 16 and Under 20 categories. Our Form 3 student, Anusha Saha, a two-time National Under 14 Female Champion, continued to show her skill and copped 2 medals; Bronze in the Under 16 Female Category and Silver in the Under 14 Female Sub-Category. The TTO team went on to place 4th overall. Well done Anusha!
Congratulations also go out to our Form one student, Caitlyn Look Fong, on her superb performance at the recently concluded CARIFTA 2018 Swimming Championships. Caitlyn copped a Bronze Medal for Trinidad and Tobago in the 200 Butterfly Individual. She also swam the third leg of the Individual Medley Relay where the Trinidad and Tobago team won gold. Additionally, Caitlyn swam her best time of 6:06:41 in the 400 Individual Medley, where she placed 6th and earned 4th place in the 100 Butterfly Individual with her best time of 1:10:72.
