Young Artist Victorious at TTFN Competition

sarah-panchooSarah Panchoo, of Form 4H, recently entered an Art Competition hosted by Trinidad and Tobago’s Field

Naturalists Club. Art has always been a passion of Sarah’s since she was much younger and she finally

had the opportunity to showcase her talent. She usually creates geometric pieces based on architecture

but this time, she tried her hand at capturing wildlife for this competition.Sarah placed 1st in the category for

those ages 13-16, with a piece inspired by the club’s motto, “Nature is most to be admired in the smallest

things”. Her piece was an acrylic painting of a hummingbird on a tree feeding its young, entitled

“Nurturing The Future” and employed the use of variations of stippling and long brush strokes. Sarah,

who comes from an artistic background, credits her parents and brother as her greatest motivators and

thanks her Art Teachers for guiding her.
